Oscar
Hi! My name is Oscar and I am co-owner of Drop&Go together with Mik. I am connected to Drop&Go for 5 years now. Seeing guests from different cultures around the globe entering a new world and let them feel welcome is always a great pleasure and a lot of fun.
Hi, I'm Oscar
What do I like most about working at Drop&Go?
I love people, to start with. I also like variety. Seeing guests from different cultures around the globe entering a new world and let them feel welcome is always a great pleasure and a lot of fun.
What can you expect if you find me working at Drop& Go?
I am very curious so after a warm welcome I will probably ask you what your plans are during your stay. So my colleagues and I can inform you in the best way possible to maximize the quality of your trip. Be careful, I might be asking too much! But no worries, just tell me and I’ll stop and let you go.
PS: Fun fact about me
I love languages! I speak Dutch, Frisian (2nd official language of the Netherlands that is), English, German, French and Spanish. Although some of my languages are a bit rusty, I will always try to speak to you in the language of your preference. Next ones: Swedish and Korean but not sure I will manage to learn in this life 😉

My personal and favourite recommendation for visiting Amsterdam
My mother is from Amsterdam and my father from Indonesia, so could I start with something else but advise the best Indonesian foodspot in our capital? No! So here we go:
- Sari Citra, located in ‘de Pijp’ with its basic looks will surprise you with perfect, authentic Indonesian food. Don’t expect to dine for hours, just order a plate (choose the dishes for your Rames yourself!) and enjoy it for an affordable price.
- Eatalia Gastronomia: The name doesn’t invite you really, but the food does! This owner from Milan offers you next level Italian food for lunch (these sandwiches, incredible!) and for diner. Choose a variety of pasta’s which are displayed that make the mouth water or order one of his pizza’s. You won’t be disappointed. He has a limited numbers of tables and chairs but you can go for take away, too!
- Café Stevens is ideal to have a drink of whatever kind. The nice thing about it is that it is in the middle of a touristic area (just behind the Red Light District) but you will find yourself between many locals. Staff is always nice and happy. Inside it is cozy and if the sun is shining you sit on the terrace and watch everything that is happening on and around the square. Love it!
