What are the Negen Straatjes?
The Negen Straatjes is a collection of nine narrow streets located in Amsterdam’s UNESCO-listed canal belt. They connect the main canals (Singel, Herengracht, Keizersgracht, and Prinsengracht) and form a compact grid that’s easy to explore on foot. The area lies just west of Dam Square and south of the Anne Frank House, making it a central and accessible stop during your visit.
