Eldo
Hello! I'm Eldo and I have been working for Drop & Go since 2023. I have lived in Amsterdam my entire life and love helping people see the city. I enjoy the conversations with customers and helping them make the most of their experience here!
Hi, I'm Eldo
What do I like most about working at Drop&Go?
I was born and raised in Amsterdam, so it’s fun to be part of somethhing that helps people enjoy the city the way it’s meant to be, easy. At Drop&Go, we store luggage for travelers who want to explore without dragging their bags around. What I really like is the mix of people we get to meet every day. Everyone has a different story, and it’s always great when we can help out with tips or directions to make their day better.
What can you expect if you find me working at Drop& Go?
If you see me at Drop&Go, you’ll probably catch me checking in bags or giving someone directions to their next stop. I’m happy to help however I can – whether it’s where to rent a bike, how to get to your hotel, or where to find a good coffee nearby. I know the city pretty well and I love sharing local spots, especially ones that aren’t overly touristy.
PS: Fun fact about me
Even though I’ve lived in Amsterdam my whole life, I’m still finding new corners and cafés I haven’t seen before. The city always has something to discover. When I’m not working, you’ll probably find me at a park with friends or playing tennis somewhere in and around the city.

My personal and favourite recommendation for visiting Amsterdam
Want to experience Amsterdam like a local? Here are a few of my favourite spots to check out:
- Bar Botanique: A colorful jungle-like café in East Amsterdam with great coffee, cocktails, and chill vibes. Perfect for brunch or just hanging out.
- Tolhuistuin: A cultural hotspot right across the IJ from Central Station. There’s always something happening – music, food festivals, or exhibitions. Plus, it has a beautiful garden if you just want to relax.
- De Pijp neighbourhood: One of my favourite areas to wander. It’s full of small boutiques, street food, and local bars. Make to walk through the Albert Cuyp Market for a classic Amsterdam experience.
- Brouwerij ‘t IJ: A local brewery right next to a windmill. Their beers are great and it’s a fun place to hang out – especially on a sunny day.
